In natural habitats, solar and earth-based thermal energies create positive and negative oxygen ions that clean and renew outdoor air by removing harmful pollutants, such as bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores. Charged positive and negative oxygen gas ions by electrical devices called as bipolar ionizers will react with organic and inorganic surfaces and reduce bacteria, viruses, VOC’s, odors, dust and molds, static electricity as well as energy consumption in centralized AC systems (HVAC).
Bipolar ionizers generate positive and negative oxygen ions, just like those found in nature, that purify and freshen indoor air by eliminating the harmful pollutants mentioned above. Bipolar ionizers are compact electronic modules that can be easily integrated into various air treatment products, such as air conditioners, refrigerators, air purifiers, blowers, ventilators, centralized HVAC systems and more. When there is a laminar airflow passing through bipolar devices, bipolar ionization devices convert oxygen gas in air into positive
and negative charged oxygen gas ions through addition or removal of electrons by high voltage DC emitters. These bipolar oxygen gas ions will be circulated by a laminar airflow o either centralized AC systems (HVAC), standalone AC’s or other non-AC ventilation devices. When bipolar ions encounter with organic and inorganic surfaces such as bacteria, viruses, VOC’s, odors, dust and molds, charged positive and negative oxygen gas react with water in the air and form hydrogen peroxide. This hydrogen peroxide will react and inactivate bacteria, viruses, VOC’s, odors, dust and molds. Bipolar ionizers can operate 24/7 continuously at indoor spaces while they are occupied by people. It is proven by various industrial certifications, classifications, associations as well as various scientific research studies.
Benefits
Types of Bipolar Devices
There are three types of bipolar systems and devices which are commercially available in
the market. They are,
1. Bipolar devices for centralized AC systems (HVAC)
2. Bipolar devices for standalone AC’s
3. Portable air purifiers
